For those of us who simply do not have the time or desire to cook and provide the wonderful nourishment that Beatriz recommends, don't despair!  Linda cares for many birds in her sanctuary at Sunnyskies, and the diet she presents is nutritious and well balanced as well.

For all of the birds, Linda layers food in bowls or trays from the bottom up.  The first layer consists of a relatively small amount, like a spoon, of Goldenfeast Basic Parakeet Food.

Ingredients: millet, hulled oats dehydrated spinach, dehydrated carrots, Niger seed, flax seed and sesame seed

The larger psittacines (lovebirds and conures to macaws) eat from a bowl, to which she adds a layer of Harrisons Adult Lifetime Fine and Course Pellets, followed by a layer of fresh fruits (organic banana, apple, wild Maine blueberries) and then vegetables (organic broccoli, fresh pieces of corn on
